About Us
DD&J Junior Tennis Foundation
DD&J was founded by the late Dr. Moses Dixon, Domino and Jackie Boulware in Columbia, SC and was incorporated August 7, 1997. DD&J is an all volunteer 501(c)(3) non-profit foundation, and its mission and activities are lead by a board of directors.
DD&J Junior Tennis Foundation is an anchor in the Columbia, SC midlands area, that combines the sport of tennis with educational tools to help develop and cultivate youth in a healthy, safe and fun environment.
DD&J is supported by the USTA Foundation, USTA Southern and the Southern Tennis Foundation.
Mission:
DD&J's primary objectives are to teach young people of all ages and economic circumstances, the skills of tennis competition, to use the power of the game to build character, support, and educational achievement, and to reduce juvenile issues that lead to delinquency and other social ills.
Activities:
Saturday Clinics - Each year from February to November, Saturday tennis clinics are periodically held at Greenview Park for ages 6-16. The youth learn foundational tennis skills as they progress to more advanced age groups and opportunities to join team tennis competition.
Summer Camp - N.E.T.T. (Nurturing Education Through Tennis) is a summer tennis/educational enrichment camp provided to campers ages 8-10 attending the Greenview Park summer camp program. N.E.T.T. is provided in partnership with the City of Columbia. Space is limited and is only available to campers attending the Greenview Park summer camp. Applications available in June.
Private Lessons - Parents and youth interested in private tennis lessons can contact Domino Boulware at 803.530.4497.
